September Update

I wanted to send a short note on a few topics:

1. Finished teaching The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus for the adult Sunday School class
2. Mark your calendars for the lecture by James Walker on October 8^th for his talk on “From Mormonism to Christianity”
3. Six-week class on “Christianity Contrasted to Mormonism” starting early November

This past Sunday was the last class teaching on The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus. We ended up shortening the class from 5 meetings to 6 due to scheduling mix-ups. But I think we covered a lot in our 5 Sundays together and had a lot of great discussions.

I ended up recording the final three class on my iPad (so the quality isn’t great). But for anyone who is interested, the 3^rd class video can be found in the previous blog post, the 4^th one can be seen here, and the 5^th here. Enjoy!

October 8^th is coming up fast so go ahead and mark your calendars for a lecture by James Walker on his journey from Mormonism to Christianity. James was a fourth generation Mormon who, after careful research and study, concluded that Mormonism is false and Christianity is true. 

James  went on to start a ministry (Watchmen Fellowship) where he goes all over the nation sharing the truth of Christianity. In fact, James will be at  Mt. Airy’s annual apologetics conference that same weekend. So check that out if you’re interested!

I’m still finalizing the schedule for the class on “Christianity Contrasted to Mormonism” but it will definitely run 6 weeks and start in early November. I had previously planned to run the class on Thursdays starting November 3^rd but am leaning towards moving it to Monday evenings starting November 7^th due to another group needing the rooms on Thursdays.

I’ll keep everyone posted on the exact start date but I hope you’ll consider joining us in a study of Christianity Contrasted to Mormonism tentatively starting Monday November 7^th.
