Upcoming talk on "Investigating the Resurrection"

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year's.

To start off 2016 we will be hosting a talk and follow-on study on the historical case for the resurrection of Jesus.

Before studying apologetics I always considered the resurrection of Jesus something you simply believed on faith or not. But, as a historical event, it is open to investigation like any other event of history.

During my studies I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are a number of historical facts surrounding the resurrection that both secular and Christian scholars agree on. These facts can then be used to build a case for the historicity of the resurrection of Jesus.
On Friday February 19th Chad Gross (of Truthbomb Apologetics) will be speaking on the topic "Investigating the Resurrection". There will be free pizza at 6:30pmfollowed by the talk and some Q&A. Child care will be available.
Please feel free to invite friends, family, co-workers, ... whoever. All are welcome! RSVP to Brian at RFGreaterBaltimore@gmail.com so we can be sure there will be enough pizza!
If you want to learn more we will be having a 6-week study on "The Case for the Resurrection" by Gary Habermas and Michael Licona. We will study the facts that most scholars (Christian and non-Christian) agree on and why. Then we will discuss proposed explanations and why the resurrection of Jesus is the most plausible.

The study will begin on Thursday March 3rd from 7-8:30pm and continue weekly. We will meet at Mt. Zion UMC in rooms 13-15 of the Education Building.
Books for the study are available for the discounted price of $10 (they go for $17 on Amazon). Contact Brian at RFGreaterBaltimore@gmail.com if you'd like to join the study and purchase a book.
