Ahh summer's here and we'll be enjoying the weather and taking a break until Fall.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to every single person who has helped make this year such a success either by attending one of the classes, praying for the ministry, or just talk about it! I'm extremely blessed and grateful for the opportunity to lead this chapter.
Although we're wrapping up this year, we're also already planning out next year's activities. Below is a brief snapshot of what's coming up.
Summer break:We're off for the summer. Enjoy it!
Sept. 4th, 2015. "The Bible: Fact or Fiction?": We'll kick off next year's study with a talk by a local apologist, Steve Schrader, on the topic of the Bible's historical reliability. This is a community event that is free and open to anyone and is especially an opportunity to invite someone who might not be a Christian but is open to hear evidence for it.
Fall study on historical reliability of the New Testament: following the talk we will begin a group book study on the New Testament's reliability. We will be studying F. F. Bruce's modern classic on the subject, "The New Testament Documents: Are They Reliable?". It's a short read and I hope to be able to offer free copies at the speaker event. More details on the study will be available soon.
Winter talk by Chad Gross: on Friday January 22, 2016 we'll kick off the winter/spring semester with a talk by Chad Gross from Truthbomb Apologetics. Chad will present a talk on a historical "Case for the Resurrection" which will serve as a primer for a follow-on group book study on the subject. Details on that talk and the study will be forthcoming.
I'll continue to post updates with details on the upcoming events and studies as well as other special events that come up.
