First "On Guard" class

Thanks to all who were able to make it out to the first "On Guard" class! I'm really looking forward to studying this material with everyone so that we will deepen and confirm our own faith to encourage us to share it with others.

We had about 15 people for the first class. We shared some subs and began the teaching at 7. First we went through a few slides about "what is a Reasonable Faith chapter" and discussed what the mission and approach of the chapter will be. Then we went over the class syllabus and objectives. Finally, we dove into the first topic of "what is apologetics". We covered the definition of apologetics, showed that it is biblical, and then discussed why it is important. We finished up promptly at 8:30!

Next time we will meet on September 22nd to discuss the topic "what difference does it make if God exists?"

  1. Holy cow! I spent 2 and a half years in Maryland feeling sad that there was no Reasonable Faith chapter there, and then I move to Virginia a few months ago, and NOW you start a Reasonable Faith chapter in Maryland! Arggghh!!! I hope to be able to make it to some of your meetings nonetheless. Despite my frustration, I hope your group swells and is very active for many years.
